1. Complete our online application.
Click here to launch your application. Like many private schools, The Croft School partners with a trusted outside provider, TADS, to host our online application itself and to provide any technical assistance if needed. Submission of an application (one per child) and a $50 admission fee must be completed by the respective admission deadline (see below).
2. Schedule and complete a family/child interview with the Croft team.
This experience is designed for the applying student and at least one of the parents with whom the child resides. It will include conversation with the parent(s) and a conversation with the applying student, as well as activities for the child to complete. The session will last approximately 60 minutes. We will reach out to schedule this with you once you have initiated an application.
After your Interview:
– We will contact you to let you know about our admissions decision by the notification date (see below).
– If admitted, a family can accept and reserve their child’s seat by submitting a 25% deposit by the commitment deadline (see below).
Admission will be facilitated over the course of three admission rounds, detailed below.
|Round 1||Round 2||Round 3|
|Application Deadline||November 30, 2017||February 2, 2018||March 2, 2018|

|Commitment Date||December 15, 2017||February 16, 2018||March 16, 2018|
Please note that applications will be accepted on a rolling basis following the Round 3 application deadline (March 2, 2018), but we cannot guarantee that seats will still be available.

Tuition and Fees
We have worked hard to set tuition at a rate that enables us to provide extraordinary quality at outstanding value.
Providence is blessed to have some incredible independent schools, including Wheeler, Moses Brown, Gordon, and Lincoln. We share with those schools a commitment to excellent teaching and a strong sense of community. What sets us apart is that we’re small enough to genuinely personalize the learning experience for each child. And, these schools have beautiful campuses. We will have a nice, but smaller, facility. That is one of the factors that allows us to charge about half of the tuition of the most expensive private schools in or near the East Side.
|Moses Brown (2017-18)||$31,210|
|The Croft School (2018-19)||$17,900 – Founding Family Deduction = $15,215|
The Croft School
Our normal tuition is $17,900. However, all Founding Families (those who enroll for the 2018-19 school year) receive an annual scholarship of $2,685, lowering the cost to $15,215. This annual scholarship remains in effect for every year of the child’s enrollment at The Croft School.
Our Monday-Friday drop-off window begins at 7:30am and our regular kindergarten program ends at 3:00pm. We offer two Monday-Friday extended day options:
- 3:00pm-4:15pm – $1,500 (includes daily Skills Workshop)
- 3:00pm-5:30pm – $3,000 (includes daily Skills Workshop plus additional after school activities)
Customized Tuition Solutions. The Croft School is committed to enrolling a diverse student body. We offer a unique approach to financial support so that the school can be accessible to families and students from a broad range of economic circumstances. Our process for determining whether a family and child may qualify for a customized tuition solution is straightforward, efficient, and transparent. Please contact us for additional information. Families who qualify for these scholarships may also be eligible for reduced extended day fees.
Family Volunteer Credit. In limited situations, we may provide a partial tuition credit to families who commit to a certain level of volunteerism throughout the school year. We engage in conversations about this commitment during the enrollment and admissions process.
Applicant Referral Program. We offer a referral incentive and encourage interested families to spread the word about The Croft School. In order to be eligible as a referring family, the “referred” family must list your family’s name in the designated area on their child’s admission application. If the referred family’s child is admitted and enrolls in The Croft School, the referring family will receive a $1,000 tuition credit. The “referred” family will receive a $250 tuition credit.
The Croft School does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, religion, national or ethnic origin, or disability, or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state or local law. We encourage families and students of all backgrounds to apply.
