Erika is a graduate of Rhode Island College, where she studied Social Work and Spanish. Since graduating Erika has worked with adults and children alike by running groups that facilitate each participant to grow and reach their true potential. Throughout her time in the Social Work field, Erika opened and has continued to run and operate her own Irish Dance School called Tir Na Nog Irish Dance. Spending each evening and weekend teaching and working with youth from ages 3 to 18, Erika comes to the Croft School with more than 10 years of experience in teaching, interacting with, and inspiring children. Erika discovered her path in the elementary classroom and hopes to bring the joy and love of learning to all her students. Erika believes there is nothing more important than creating a loving and nurturing environment for young children to grow, learn, and explore in. Erika resides in East Providence with her fiancé Chris and their very curious tabby cat! When she’s not teaching, Erika loves to read, choreograph, play the piano, bake, brush up on Spanish, and spend time with family.
