The Croft School: Cambridge

The Croft School: Cambridge, a small, innovative, exceptional private school, is opening in September 2026.

During its inaugural 2026-2027 school year, the school will operate with Preschool (Age 3) and Pre-Kindergarten, adding one grade level each year until it reaches capacity as a Preschool through Grade 8 school.  The school is designed for students living in Cambridge, Somerville, Arlington, Belmont and other surrounding cities and towns.  Building upon the foundation of the highly-acclaimed Croft Schools in Providence, in Jamaica Plain, and in the South End of Boston, The Croft School: Cambridge will center around the ethos of Rigor, Spark, Heart, Joy, and Belonging. The school is being founded in response to Cambridge-area families who are seeking an option that transcends some of the drawbacks of existing public and independent school options. We are tremendously honored by the opportunity to open this school and deeply excited to share more with interested families.

Initial Grade Level Configuration
(2026-2027) Preschool (Age 3), Pre-Kindergarten

Long-Term Grade Configuration: We will add a grade each year, expanding into a Preschool - Grade 8 school at full capacity.

Location:  The school will be located at 21 Notre Dame Avenue, a classic school building renovated for a new generation of learners.
